Two APP's for you to download on your IPhone:


Merlin - This APP helps the student quickly identify a nearby bird.  Once you download it, it will ask you where you are located

and the time of day.   Now for a quick ID of the bird.   

                        What is:                                      

1.  The relative size of the bird

                      (ie. between Sparrow and Robin);

2.  The basic coloring (ie., black)

3.  Was the bird ...?  (ie., on the ground)

4.  It will show you a selection of birds that fit your description.  

     

eBird - This APP helps you keep a permanent list of the different birds species you see, how many, and where you saw them.
