WHERE TO BUY BIRDSEED, AND WHAT TO BUY

Now that you're ready to hang up some birdfeeders in your yard, where is the best place to buy?  If you're in part of the Inland Empire of Southern California, which include Temecula, Murrieta, Menifee, Wildomar, and Lake Elsinore, I have just the answer for you.

I shop at four different locations - Lowes, Home Depot, Target and Walmart.  I'll start with Home Depot, which has the best selection of birdseed.  Below are some pictures of birdseed sold by them I recommend.

HOME DEPOT:   The Wagner line of birdseed is excellent.  Lowes has the largest selection of great birdseed of the stores we studied.

Nyjer Seed         Finch Food         Sunflower Seed                          Greatest Variety      Western Variety     Songbird Supreme

                        Peanut Nuggets and Feeder

TARGET:  The Kaytee line of Birdseed is also very good.

Wild Bird Food            Black Oil Sunflower      Nyjer           Waste-Free

LOWES:   The Garden Treasure line is  good.  Avoid birdseed loaded with Milo and/or corn.

Safflower Seeds         Shell-Free Blend         Finch Blend          Nyjer Seed                                         Cardinal Songbird Blend      Sunflower Seed

WALMART:  The Pennington is another line of excellent and overall the most affordable birdseed.

Wild Finch      Safflower Seed      Sunflower Chips                         Thistle (Nyjer) Seed     Wild Finch Blend

                                                  Classic Wild Bird Seed
